Dana Pensiun PT. PLN (Persero) sebagai Dana Pensiun Pemberi Kerja dan penyelenggara Program Pensiun Manfaat Pasti adalah badan hukum tersendiri yang berbeda dengan Yayasan. Pada tanggal 16 Oktober 1965 Direksi PLN mengeluarkan Instruksi tentang pemberlakuan satu program pensiun bagi semua pegawai PLN baik yang berstatus pegawai negeri tetap maupun pegawai eks NV OGEM, NV ANIEM dan NV GEBEO.
