Jerry had been working for Tom since 1965. 1983: Jerry purchased the remaining interest in the company from Tom Kingston. 1985: August of 1985 name was officially changed to Downtown Tire & Auto Inc. 1986: In June of 1986 Greg, Jerry's son, came to work full time in the business after graduating from Dakota County Technical College1998: On January 1, 1998 Greg purchased the business from his father and has been running it ever since. 2014: Celebrating 40 years of family ownership and service to Hastings and the surrounding area.
