1920 - John & Lillian Schultz began, on their back porch, making fraternal regalia in Chicago.
1950 - The Schultz Manufacturing Company formed between Lillian & her daughter Dorothy's husband, Walter T. Christiansen.
1951 - Rented small store and shop
1956 - J.C. Schultz incorporated. Walter - president, Lillian - VP, Dorothy - Sec/Trea.
1960's - John & Bill, 3rd generation family manufactured a full line of Flags & Banners.
1976 - "FlagSource" trademarked & became synonymous with quality.
1970's - designed & manufactured the first McDonald’s corporate flag, introduced the Nylon II American flag with screen printed stars, used mail order catalogs, popularized "boutique" flags
1984 - the company moved from Northlake to St. Charles, Illinois.
1985 - John T. Christiansen died at age 40
1987 - Walter Christiansen died
1989 - Bill Christiansen resigned
1990 - Janice M. Christiansen became president of the company, working for the company since 1975 in various positions. Fourth generation, Jon and Spencer Christiansen, took active roles in the company.
2005 - Moved from St. Charles to it's current location in Batavia.
2021 - 4th Generation Owner, Spencer Christiansen became President of FlagSource. The company is poised for rapid growth.
