We are Natrona County’s only public school district, serving the educational needs of about 11,500 students in preschool through 12th grade in the city of Casper and the surrounding towns of Alcova, Bar Nunn, Edgerton, Evansville, Mills, Midwest, and Powder River.
At NCSD, we are committed to providing optimum learning opportunities for every child. We are an open-enrollment district, meaning parents can choose from any of our exceptional schools for their children, regardless of where in the county they reside. At NCSD, we strive to provide all students with optimal learning opportunities and the tools, skills, and knowledge they need to succeed in the 21st Century.
We believe in the importance of setting strategic goals to focus our actions for continued educational excellence in Natrona County. High Expectations, Leading in Literacy, Planning With Purpose, Safe & Healthy Environments, and Effective and Efficient Operations are at the forefront of our strategic goals and serve as the foundation for our work and comprehensive Strategic Plan. Through measured steps of improvement and purposeful planning, we are dedicated to providing exceptional environments for students and staff to reach their highest potential.
As the largest employer in Natrona County, we also know we play a vital role in the community. We offer jobs to nearly 3,000 people in the county, providing competitive salaries and benefits, as well as continual learning opportunities for our staff and faculty. Every member of our team demonstrates a commitment to putting children first.
Together, NCSD and its community are committed to empowering every learner to grow, excel and be a successful contributor to the global and local community.
