SQL syntax can be intimidating, exhausting, and just plain no fun to write. It can also require a lot of extra work to translate Javascript objects into the form required for SQL queries. We wanted to build a tool that makes it easier for developers to interact with their postgreSQL database, and we saw that Deno does not yet have many such tools. So we wrote a query builder in Deno’s Typescript-based environment, with plans to develop it into a full-fledged object-relational mapping (ORM) tool.
