Since 2001, the Doric Fund has been investing in emerging bluechip companies across Asia. During its illustrious history, the Fund has won 10 awards for best performance in its category. The objective of the fund is to identify companies which are number #1 or #2 in their industries, still at an early stage of their multi-year growth trajectory and have a significant potential for long-term capital appreciation. Often these opportunities are relatively small companies when we first invest, under-researched and thus mispriced. Some of our investments are in traditional, profitable and high-growth companies such as consumer brands, financial services and retailing. Other investments are benefiting from exponential growth in areas such as digital services, advanced manufacturing and healthcare. In each case, the investment is made after deep financial and business due diligence. Subsequently systematic ongoing monitoring and portfolio construction helps enhance risk-adjusted returns.
