We have a heavy focus on Victorian wines as we also love to support our local winemakers, who like their farming friends, often deliver our wine themselves. We blind taste all our wines by the glass and choose the best wine for you. Sometimes we have to taste over 150 wines! Tough job, but somebody has to do it. We focus on providing you with the highest quality wine for the price, not just taking something that's on 'special' with a distributor! That's pretty unique. It was the very first 'bar' in Australia, opened in 1989 and according to the Liquor Licensing Commission, Dog's Bar having to go to the High Court to obtain it's license was the catalyst to the Government deregulating liquor licensing law, which has resulted in the creation of the 'bar culture' we all now enjoy.
