Dodo Socks Information

Our story began in 2014 as a small charity project: sending warm socks for soldiers in the frontlines. Not-yet-founders of Dodo Socks came across a small production in a very same building as the IT company they worked for, and out of curiosity asked why are the designs all black and brown and dark blue. In a world of dull colored socks they decided being bright is an act of resilience. What started as a sketch of tiny bicycles on lined paper has grown into a decade of staying experimental and a little cuckoo when the world gets heavy. Our team of 39 is based in Ukraine, and so is our production. Since 2017, we have worked alongside our main production partner from Rubizhne, Luhansk region. When Rubizhne was occupied by russia and they were forced to relocate to Lviv in 2022, we stood by them to rebuild. Today, they are our dear friends and a daily proof that while buildings can be lost, craftsmanship and spirit cannot. Business, for us, is a mission: since 2022 we have donated over UAH 33 mln (something like EUR 650k) to support the Ukrainian army. We create qualitative socks and accessories with creative designs while still in the affordable segment. Our designers don’t just slap a logo on a template, we create something we ourselves gladly wear, from functional merino wool socks to amusing hats. In late 2025 together with our Japanese partners we opened The Dodos: our first store in Zuchi, Japan.
