Children’s Minnesota is the seventh largest pediatric health system in the United States and the only health system in Minnesota to provide care exclusively to children, from before birth through young adulthood. An independent and not-for-profit system since 1924, Children’s serves kids throughout the Upper Midwest at two free-standing hospitals, 12 primary and specialty care clinics and six rehabilitation sites. Additionally, Children’s is Minnesota's only Level I pediatric trauma center inside a hospital dedicated solely to children. Valley Children’s Healthcare provides Central California’s only high-quality, comprehensive care exclusively for children, from before birth to young adulthood. Our independent, nonprofit network offers highly specialized medical and surgical services to treat conditions ranging from common to the most unusual and complex at our 358-bed children’s hospital as well as through partner hospitals, specialty care centers, satellite practices and primary care services. Recognized as a Magnet® designated facility since 2004 and granted the gold-level Beacon Award for Excellence™ in critical care, Valley Children’s neonatal and pediatric intensive care units achieve some of the lowest mortality rates in the country while treating some of the sickest kids. In 2021, U.S. News and World Report again named Valley Children’s one of the best children’s hospitals in the country in seven pediatric specialties. In affiliation with Stanford University School of Medicine, Valley Children’s Pediatric Residency and fellowship programs provide first-class training for the next generation of pediatricians and pediatric surgical and medical specialists.
