Doc's Skincare makes natural skincare products for cyclists, triathletes, runners, and endurance athletes. The Texas company was founded as Doc's Skincare, LLC by Joshua Barton, MD, a practicing physician, competitive cyclist, and all-around lover of endurance sports. In 2006 Dr. Barton, dissatisfied with the expensive and ineffective cycling creams on the market, decided to create better natural skincare products to help prevent the chafing and skin breakdown commonly encountered during triathlons as well as cycling and running events. It took four years. But with the help of formulation chemists, "Doc" Barton developed the ideal cream to form a protective, anti-friction barrier between the skin and the modern chamois pad of the cyclist's shorts. Doc's All-Natural Chamois Cream™ was born in 2010 and sales were initiated that year. The chamois cream was the company's first commercially available product and remains the company's best-seller. The success of Doc's All Natural Chamois Cream lead to other products not only for cyclists but also for triathletes, runners, and endurance athletes in general.
