Docfriends aims to fulfill its mission of "connecting doctors and patients in a primary care relationship" by serving as middleware (B2B) between traditional EMR systems and platforms. Docfriends provides a refined B2B(API) service—Doctalk, a medical appointment middleware service, enabling over 3,500 clinics and hospitals to connect doctors and patients with users from major platforms including Naver, Daangn, and Kakao. Financially, we recently secured $1.45M in our Pre-A funding, led by KClavis and Vuno. The Korean healthcare market, with its strictly defined medical system and regulations, requires collaboration among market participants rather than a standalone approach. Therefore, establishing a product direction that enables various stakeholders in the healthcare industry to coexist and thrive together is of utmost importance.
