DOBMAC has operated since 1983, originally manufacturing agricultural machinery to suit the heavy soil conditions of the North West Coast of Tasmania. The first machines manufactured were a range of Single and Two Row Potato Diggers which competed with imported European machines. Modifications to imported machinery (Potato Harvesters and Planters) was also undertaken. The company has grown with the support of local farmers who have assisted with research and development, field trials, and their invaluable feed back. With the development of the revolutionary "DOBMAC" Quick Release Front End Loader and the extremely accurate "DOBMAC" Potato Planter and their success in the Tasmanian market we were confident that the national market would be interested. In fact Australian farmers were so interested, and the products were so successful, that we out-grew our early premises twice in rapid succession and then expanded our sales into overseas markets. Dobmac is widely recognised in the agricultural industry for being an award winning operation in the Tasmanian region.
