Sinds haar opening, alweer ruim veertig jaar geleden, is Café Wilhelmina een belangrijke aanlegsteiger gebleken voor talloze getalenteerde bands en muzikanten die aan het begin staan van hun carrière. Grootheden zoals bijvoorbeeld Jan Akkerman (Brainbox / Focus) en Harry Muskee ✝ (Cuby & the Blizzards) waren en zijn nog steeds graag geziene gasten. De Wilhelmina is een populaire kroeg voor zowel muzikanten als de fanatieke muziekliefhebbers die graag genieten van goede live muziek in een warme en historisch rijke omgeving, maar ook voor een goed glas bier of een goed gesprek is Wilhelmina ‘the place to be’. Jaarlijks organiseert Cafe Wilhelmina ism de rest van de horeca Wilhelminaplein een groots opgezet Oranjefeest/Koningsdag en tijdens de zomervakantie twee festivals: Rock & Roll Meeting en Bluesplein, een begrip in Eindhoven maar ook voor beide muziekscenes ver buiten onze landsgrenzen.
