ISO-22000-2005 certified Dakshina Kannada Milk Union having jurisdiction of Mangalore and Udupi coastal Districts is one of the leading Milk Unions in the State of Karnataka. At the time of registration during the year 1986, the Union's procurement of Milk was 4,500 LPD. Now the Union is procuring 2,75,000 KPD through 658 Dairy Co-operative Societies.
