DJ-K, the company, was founded in 1990, but it's roots trace back much farther than that. Ken inherited his passion for music from his father and older brother, and by middle school, had amassed quite a collection of 45s. To mask his reluctance to ask girls to dance at school functions, he instead tried to figure out what his schoolmates wanted to dance to, and thus, a career was born! What began as a weekend lark for friends quickly became a wonderfully rewarding business, loaded with excitement and clients eager to entrust to us the responsibility of keeping the dance floor moving. Over the years, we've seen technology change, from records and tapes to CDs and mp3s. However, we've never lost touch with incredible privilege we're blessed with while providing music for our clients. We have been fortunate to be included in thousands of life cycle events, and will always take pride in giving our clients the kind of service the importance of their party demands.
