Like all great projects, DIYElectronics was started by a passionate Maker with a crazy vision and an Arduino board. DIYElectronics was founded in 2013 by (at the time an Engineering student at UCT) now, Chief Technology Officer, Robert Mawbey. His goal was to make innovative technology accessible to like-minded makers, students, inventors and entrepreneurs in South Africa. From 2013 to present DIYElectronics has turned from one guy building Prusa i3 3D Printer kits on the floor of this student apartment into a successful startup company with over 20 staff members, a double story building, hundreds of website products and 38 (and counting) manufacturers. We’re here to help you make it your way.
