Divine Basic Needs is a voluntary nonprofit, non-government organization located in New Delhi registered as a Trust in India vide No. 243 dated January 29, 2019 ( NITI Aayog Regn No. DL/2019/0237081). DBN is working towards empowering underprivileged children, women and individuals by enriching their lives through education , sustainable livelihood skills and opportunities. Our Mission is to empower the marginalized section of the society, especially the most vulnerable of its members i.e. women and children. To enrich deprived lives by providing basic education, sustainable livelihood skills and opportunities. To optimize the potential of disadvantaged children by providing holistic education and driving a social change by fostering an environment where they can learn, lead and thrive.To create a platform where women from less fortunate backgrounds – earn a livelihood with dignity and enjoy financial liberation. The Causes we care for include Child Education, Women Empowerment, Basic Needs, Health and Hygiene , Social Awareness. DBN is running various education centres called "Paathshala" and is committed to provide basic education to underprivileged children of urbanized slum and low income community areas. Under Women Empowerment Programme, DBN has set up a “Divine Silai Training Centre” affiliated and recognized by Singer India Limited to make women self-sufficient, confident and independent. Women who are illiterate or have attended schools only till primary get an opportunity to earn livelihood through this programme. Basic tailoring skills enable women to work from home and immediately start earning upon completion of their course.  The course duration is  3 and 6 months for basic cutting & sewing, with the participants progressing to the next level of training in art & creativity. Financial independence and self-reliance contribute to women empowerment and help them reinforce their social status.
