Diverse Reads Information

We are a community of educators, parents, caregivers, book lovers, publishers and more working together to ensure that all of our students are able to fulfill their potential. Through collective effort, we diversify the passages and stories used in our schools to reflect today’s evolving communities. Because when a child sees themselves in books, they feel seen, valued, and understood, creating empathy and compassion for one another. To improve reading, students need to read regularly, and students read more when the content is relevant to their lives. Join us by submitting excerpts from published works or using them in your classroom. Diverse Reads is a registered nonprofit in Minnesota.
