Crystal Blue Diving is a PADI Dive Center located in Lake In The Hills, Illinois. Being a stone’s throw from both the Sage YMCA and Three Oaks Recreation Center, we are the premier full-service scuba training provider for Chicago’s Northwest suburbs. Crystal Blue Diving offers scuba diving and snorkeling training for the beginner, up through professional level dive courses. Our Discover Scuba Diving class offers an introduction for the new or curious diver, while our Open Water Certification course is perfect for those ready to jump start their dive adventures. We offer Open Water classes every weekend. For the certified diver, we also provide a robust range of classes to help build upon and expand your underwater skills. A Water Odyssey SCUBA, formerly Don Cooks SCUBA Equipment, was established in 1965. It is the oldest full-time Dive Shop in Central Pennsylvania. In the fall of 1972, Frank Morrow came to Lycoming College, met Don Cook and started diving with the dive shop. He became the Dive Master for the shop in 1976. In September 1979, the shop became the first PADI Training Facility in Central Pennsylvania and Frank earned his Open Water Instructor rating. In 1994, the shop was rated a PADI 5 Star Dive Center, and Frank earned his Master Instructor rating. Frequently, Frank was the man behind the scenes and under the water training, leading divers and insuring the courses and dives were comfortable, safe and fun. A Water Odyssey SCUBA builds on the 57 years experience of Don Cooks SCUBA Equipment. We continue to provide the same attention to detail, well-serviced equipment and the utmost concern for your safety. We offer PADI SCUBA certifications and instruction, equipment sales and service, rental, air fills and Nitrox partial pressure fills, dive trips and travel. The dive shop stocks masks, snorkels, fins, BCDs, wetsuits, drysuits, regulators, gauges, knives, cameras and underwater lights. We are dealers for Aqua-Lung, Apek, Deep Sea, Dive Rite, Underwater Kinetics, Princeton Tec, Bonica Video, Liquid Image, Dive Gear USA, Syderco Knives, Intova Underwater Cameras, Trident Dive Equipment, Poseiden, Whites, and Sea Vision. We are committed to providing professional Scuba Diving Training to our local community and surrounding areas. We have a Master Instructor, Instructors and Dive Masters to help with your diving needs. The first certified course is Open Water Diver and trains the individual on the proper use of the basic SCUBA equipment and the safety procedures of diving. It consists of knowledge development with a book and DVD, SCUBA skills development in a pool and dives in the open water with the supervision of an instructor.
