District2.co was a B2B collaborative online platform within the shared economy makers space. Brands/Designers could go into the platform, post a production request. For example, 1000 units of a garment. Factories/ apparel manufacturers would bid on the production request based on ratings, reviews and price point. The platform cut time spent sourcing for apparel manufacturers from average 3 months to 3 days. In the end the platform was generating over $10k per month, but before we could scale, the founders had a change of heart and wanted to live and work in spaces they were more passionate about.
