Discovery Ensemble Information

Discovery Ensemble is made up of 50 exceptional professional musicians in their twenties and early thirties from the greater Boston area. This finely-honed and virtuosic ensemble has consistently received stellar reviews in the media. In its concerts, Discovery Ensemble presents an eclectic cross section of masterworks – some familiar, some unfamiliar – in performances that are impassioned, searching and at the highest level of technical accomplishment. Discovery Ensemble has a two-fold mission: To serve as a resource to Boston-area schools that have no music education programs; to expose students to classical music so that they understand and appreciate its power and beauty; and to inspire students to learn more about music, including encouraging them to learn to play a musical instrument. To be the leading chamber orchestra in New England and one of the pre-eminent music ensembles in the United States.
