disABILITY LINK is a Center for Independent Living (CIL) authorized under Title VII, Chapter 1, Part C of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. We are supported in part by the Administration for Community Living (ACL), within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), to promote independence, self-determination, dignity, and full community participation for individuals with disabilities. As a non-medical and disABILITY ran organization, we are committed to disability rights, accessibility, and inclusion. We advocate for human rights and work to remove barriers so people with disabilities can live independently and fully participate in their communities. disABILITY LINK serves individuals with disabilities, their families, and communities throughout Metro Atlanta and surrounding counties, including Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Newton, and Rockdale Counties, with limited services in Butts, Lamar, Meriwether, Pike, Spalding, and Upson Counties. Our core services include: • Advocacy – Promoting disability rights, accessibility, and equal opportunity. • Independent Living Skills – Building skills and connecting individuals with resources to live independently. • Information & Referral – Connecting individuals and families to community resources and supports. • Peer Counseling – Providing support and guidance from people with lived experience of disability. • Transition Services – Supporting youth and individuals transitioning from institutions to community living. We also offer programs that promote leadership, self-advocacy, inclusion, and community engagement.
