The Arc is the largest national community-based organization advocating for and serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. With approximately 140,000 members affiliated through over 600 state and local chapters across the nation, we are on the front lines to ensure that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families have the support and services they need to be fully engaged in their communities. The Arc promotes and protects the human rights of people with I/DD and actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes. At Ability Beyond, we discover, build and celebrate the ability in all people. Our organization is dedicated to empowering every person, no matter their ability, to have the opportunity to live, work and thrive as an integral part of their community. We serve 3,000 adults with disabilities annually throughout Connecticut and New York, and support employment for people with disabilities nationwide with our affiliate consulting group Disability Solutions. For over 60 years, Ability Beyond has pioneered ways to help thousands of people with physical and mental disabilities to discover their abilities and become an integral part of their communities. Today, with over 3,000 people benefiting from our services across New York and Connecticut, we are at the forefront in developing innovative programs and best practices that are being recognized and adopted on a national level. NOD has helped many of the world’s most recognized brands successfully hire individuals with disabilities. NOD’s suite of Professional Services are designed to address every aspect of a company’s disability inclusive workforce, from the essential ingredients of a welcoming culture, to helping the current workforce better understand disability, to establishing the best recruitment channels to ensure a steady pipeline of job-ready candidates.
