Dirigo Interactive is a disability-owned accessibility consultancy based in Portland, Maine. We help municipalities, school districts, and public-sector organizations navigate digital accessibility with a risk-based, practical approach. With the updated ADA Title II rule, public entities now face firm deadlines for making their digital services accessible: April 2027 for entities serving 50,000 or more people, April 2028 for smaller entities and special districts. Most are asking the same questions: where do we start, what do we prioritize, and how do we do this without overwhelming limited resources? We answer those questions. Our services include digital accessibility needs assessments, WCAG 2.1 AA audits, staff training, vendor procurement governance, PDF remediation, and ongoing consulting. We work directly with individual municipalities and through regional partnerships with councils of governments and municipal leagues. We deliver accessibility services to member municipalities through a regional council of governments in Maine, and we work with municipal associations, city governments, and school districts in the US.
