ENAC es un Centro de Formación Técnica que tiene 58 años de trayectoria en el mundo de la educación superior. Sus estudiantes son el corazón de este proyecto educativo y estamos convencidos que nuestras competencias se ajustan a las actuales necesidades laborales del país. BioMedica performs clinical research activities based on good clinical practices (GCP/ICH), fulfilling local (ISP) and international regulations (FDA and EMA). We are one of the few Multispecialty Research Centers in Chile and we are also part of academically oriented research, collaborating with prestigious local and overseas universities (Universidad de Chile, Universidad Católica de Chile, Universidad del Desarrollo and Heidelberg University). Our research site was established in 1999 carrying out trials in the neuroscience field and progressively adding additional medical areas. As for Dec 2022 we took part in over 160 international multi-center studies, in the following therapeutic areas: Cardiovascular Disease, Diabetes and Metabolism, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Geriatrics, Infectious Diseases and Vaccines, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Neuropsychology, Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, Rheumatology and Nephrology, and we are actively seeking to expand to additional medical areas. Among others, our sponsors have been Acadia, Actelion, Astra-Zeneca, AbbVie, Axovant, Bayer, Bial, Boehringer, BMS, AB Science, Cempra, Cerecor, Eisai, Eli Lilly, Forest, Fuji, Galmed, Genentech, GSK, Johnson & Johnson, Mallinckrodt, Medimmune, Medivation, MSD, Novartis, Otsuka, Pfizer, Roche, Sanofi, Servier, Shire, Solvay, Sunovion, Takeda and Wyeth. The following CROs took part in several of the above-mentioned studies: Covance, Genexion, ICON, IQVIA, PPD, PAREXEL, Resolution LA, Syneos and WCT. Institutional headquarters are located in Providencia, Santiago-Chile. The facility has all the requirements for clinical trials and GCP compliance, including consultation and monitoring offices, comfortable waiting rooms, fully equipped and sanitary approved areas for laboratory and medical procedures, electric generator backup, along with a temperature and access-controlled drug storage room and archive facilities. Access to the site is expeditious and a parking area is available.
