At DigitalUs, we believe that KYC and AML compliance should be comprehensive and reliable. At the same time, we strongly believe it should be simple, fast and efficient for the customer. We believe that, through technology, a lot of this process can be automated, so that our customers can focus on other, high value-added tasks, instead of spending hours searching for the required information with a high risk of missing critical components. The digitalUs technology developed at the SnT Research Center of the University of Luxembourg provides a solution to automate, and significantly speed-up the screening process for KYC/AML compliance. It relies on a novel methodology to match the same entity across multiple publicly available data sources. Commonly referred to as Entity Resolution (ER), this technique allows the creation of digital profiles containing publicly available data of a single individual or legal entity without ambiguity, critical for the KYC/AML decision-making process.
