To explain the meaning of our name, we must first delve into its origins: Digital, as defined by Merriam-Webster, is “Relating to information that is stored in the form of the numbers 0 and 1,” which is used or “characterized by computer technology.” The website you’re reading right now is built on a programming language that computers translate to ones and zeros in order to display visually on your screen for you to see. The 21st century is defined by the Digital Age in which the world’s economy is based on information computerization. Computers run our day-to-day lives and will only become more prominent in the workplace in years to come. ISO can mean many things to many di erent people. In digital art and engineering, it is the abbreviation of Isometric which is the method for visually representing three-dimensional objects in two-dimensional drawings. In language, ISO is also an abbreviation for Isotype, which is a method of showing social, technological, biological and historical connections in pictorial form. The science ction lm Tron also introduced us to ISOs (Isomorphic Algorithms) which were a race of programs that spontaneously evolved on the Grid, as opposed to being created by users.
