Digitalcore is a leading edge provider of 3D high-resolution image based core analysis services to the oil and gas industry. Services range from standard petrophysical analysis – porosity, permeability, elastic properties, NMR response and mineralogy through to capillary pressure, relative permeability, residual saturations, electrical resistivity, wettability and EOR studies. Digitalcore’s advanced micro-CT imaging systems utilize revolutionaty HeliScanTM technology to produce highest quality images at sub-micron resolution for whole core, conventional core plugs, sidewall core down to small rock fragments. Focused ion beam imaging systems are used to achieve nano-meter resolutions. Digitalcore’s unique VoxelPerfectTM image registration process provides seamless integration of 3D images at multiple length scales, microscopy and thin-section and Qemscan (SEM-EDS) data to allow characterisation of micro-porosity, micro-fractures, clays mineralogy and in-situ fluid distributions at the pore-scale. This provides accurate characterisation of complex rock systems such as silty sandstones, carbonates, shales, coals and tar sands. Direct imaging of multi-phase fluid distributions allows relative permeabilities, residual saturations and resistivity to be determined at reservoir wettability conditions using low invasion core or restored-state core.
