I’m James, a software engineer and former Head of Technology. Through Digital Curiosity, I bring experience gained leading larger teams and projects directly to smaller businesses and agencies. I build websites and software, and help you make the technical decisions behind them. I also work with teams to improve delivery and put AI to practical use. You work with me directly. Bring me in for a specific problem, a project or ongoing support. I can work alongside your team or take on the technical work if you don’t have one. What would you like help with? – Get clearer technology direction: decide what to build, which software to choose or where to invest next. – Help my team deliver: find where work gets held up, improve the tools and process, and make testing part of everyday delivery. – Put AI to practical use: find useful applications for AI and train your team on their own work. – Build or launch something: a website your team can update, software for your business, or a prototype taken through to launch. Two ways to build. Engineer-written: I write the code myself. AI-accelerated: I direct AI coding agents, review their work and test the software before it is released. Both include testing, monitoring and a handover.
