DIF is a leading global infrastructure investor and infrastructure fund manager. Since inception in 2005, DIF has raised circa €3.9 billion of commitments across seven funds and several co-investment funds. Through these funds, DIF has invested in more than 170 infrastructure and renewable energy projects, representing a total asset value of more than €25 billion. DIF manages two differentiated and complementary investment strategies: DIF’s Main Funds invest in high-quality assets that generate long-term and stable cash-flows including public-private partnerships (PPP/P3/PFI), regulated assets, concession projects, renewable energy projects and other infrastructure projects with a similar risk profile. The Main Funds target projects in Europe, North America and Australasia and will seek to construct a diversified portfolios of 25–35 investments across geographies, stage, deal types and sizes. This includes both brownfield and greenfield projects, with equity tickets in the €10–150 million range. This strategy is currently being invested from DIF Infrastructure IV, which held its final close in Q3 2015, raising €1.15 billion of commitments. DIF Infrastructure IV is almost fully invested and committed. DIF’s Core Infrastructure Funds invest in smaller infrastructure assets with contracted, stable, cash flows and returns that are inflation linked primarily in the energy, telecom and transportation sectors. The Core Fund targets projects in Europe, and to a lesser extent in North America and Australasia. The Core Fund seeks to construct a diversified portfolios of 15-20 investments across geographies, stage, deal types and sizes. This includes both brownfield and (late stage) greenfield projects, with equity tickets in the €10-35 million range. This strategy is currently being invested from DIF Core Infrastructure Fund I, which has raised in excess of €350 million with final close expected in Q2 2017. DIF has a large, experienced, and international team of over 70 professionals located across eight offices in Schiphol (The Netherlands), Paris, Frankfurt, London, Madrid, Luxembourg, Toronto and Sydney. The local presence in its target markets, and deep network of the team, provides DIF with direct access to a large and growing number of investment opportunities and allows DIF to originate and manage investments effectively and efficiently. DIF has a pro-active, pragmatic and flexible approach to investing and asset management. In all its investments DIF will play an active role and seeks to take a majority or large minority stake.
