Artisan Photography specializes in Family Portraits; they are still the best way of documenting your family, capturing just that point in time, to be remembered and looked back on with smiles. Artisan has scouted some really amazing locations for family photos in Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe and Phoenix, whether you're looking for a park setting, with trees and water, the quintessential desert landscape or a colorful, vibrant, urban scene, it's up to you. For the classic family portrait, studio sessions are available too. Artisan Photography utilizes state of the art equipment and software tools, balanced by years of real world photography experience. Once upon a time, in a far-away land (California), when Artisan Photography was started, people still shot film and life was much simpler, though not quite as exciting. Since that time, Artisan Photography's studio has seen twelve terabytes of hard disc storage, nine new camera bodies, seven desktop computers, five laptops, four Wacom tablets and half a year's worth of house payments to Adobe (Photoshop, Lightroom, In Design...) and a real live pear tree. Note, there are no plans for a partridge at this time. Keeping up to date with technology allows for greater latitude in artistic vision and much more control over the work. Artisan images are not printed in photo factories, each canvas and fine art print is worked on by hand, using essentially the same dark room processes that have been around for decades, simply with a modern twist. This process has served Artisan very well; they have received both national and international awards, including being selected by Kodak to receive the Kodak Gallery Award. Over the years, Kodak's goal for the Gallery Awards has been to recognize and celebrate professional photographers who operate at the highest levels of their craft.
