DIDI Programme Information

DIDI(Developing Interaction for Deriving Inspiration) is a one-of-its-kind initiative in Palwal District of Haryana aimed at helping young girls from government schools in rural areas get mentorship from a diverse set of women who are successful in their respective fields and are willing to act as role models. DIDI Program is hosted by the District Administration of Palwal District in Haryana. The 2-month rich volunteering experience is an opportunity for women who are interested in their personal growth as well as to contribute towards the upliftment of young girls belonging to a section of society where they don’t get to interact with a lot of independent women. As a volunteer, you are expected to open up the mind of your mentee to possibilities of being independent and defeat the social conditioning and the societal norms on what a woman can and cannot do. The motivation behind the initiative is to map every young woman seeking support, to someone willing to extend that support, to open up possibilities both in terms of career and personal development for both mentor and mentee.
