The School Without Walls (SWOW) joined Dickson in the mid-1990s to provide an alternative education program. The Secondary Introductory English Centre (SIEC) joined a little later to provide intensive English language learning. A program to support children and young people with refugee experiences was established in 2009, and 2013 saw the establishment of the College Connect program that supports students attaining Year 10 certification.
