Founded in Honolulu in 1921, Diamond Bakery began with the dream of three Japanese immigrants—Hidegoro Murai, Kikutaro Hiruya, and Natsu Muramoto—who shared a vision of creating the perfect Hawaiʻi-made cracker. Named after the iconic Diamond Head landmark, the company grew from humble beginnings into one of Hawaiʻi’s most recognized and enduring food manufacturers. For more than a century, generations of local families have grown up enjoying Diamond Bakery favorites, including Hawaiian Soda Crackers, Saloon Pilot, Royal Creem, Graham Crackers, Animal Crackers, and our expanding line of cookies and Hawaiian shortbread. Today, Diamond Bakery proudly continues to bake its products in Honolulu, carrying forward more than 100 years of tradition while continuing to innovate and expand into markets across the Mainland, Asia, and the South Pacific. As we celebrate our 105th anniversary in 2026, we remain deeply committed to Hawaiʻi, our employees, our customers, and the community that has supported us for generations. Diamond Bakery is more than a bakery—it is a small piece of Hawaiʻi’s history, and we are proud to carry that legacy forward for the next generation.
