The DEWTECOMP project aims to develop an induction welding system to achieve innovative and efficient way of structural bond of reinforcement parts (gussets, wedges, fittings) to structural frames in order to obtain a highly integrated Door Surround Structure, as well as to be able to weld assembly clips on stiffened panel. The DEWTECOMP project, started in May 2020, is coordinated by CETMA (IT). CETMA, together with Techni-Modul Engineering (FR), will work on the implementation of an induction welding system based on a robotic arm with a welding head, able to join thermoplastic matrix based composites. This project has received funding from the Clean Sky 2 Joint Undertaking (JU) under grant agreement No 886904. The JU receives support from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme and the Clean Sky 2 JU members other than the Union.
