While attending DevMountain our students create a series of projects. But the capstone of the DevMountain experience comes down to two major projects - their Personal Project and their Group Project. The Personal Project takes place after the first 7 weeks of the program. This is where our students venture out on their own for the first time to tackle a full scale application from start to finish. So much of the learning process takes place when the rubber hits the road and they start developing on their own. The Group Project takes place in the final weeks of the program. Working on a team is a fundamental skill needed by our graduates. By creating a full scale project our students get experience collaborating, designing, and managing work flow with Git and Github. The Group Project also allows students to create a solid portfolio application while taking ownership on certain functionalities and diving deeper in their knowledge in targeted areas of responsibility.
