DeviceBright (http://www.devicebright.com) has taken the concept behind personal athletic training and moved it into the personal tech device arena: one-on-one, personalized training that teaches people how to setup, use and effectively manage all of their devices and digitally-based services. Personal technology devices, such as smartphones and tablets, are widely touted as being easy to setup and intuitive to learn. This is simply not the case for a large segment of the adult population, who did not grow up with these devices in their formative years. What’s happening is akin to shoving a person into the cockpit of a 747. They might be able to turn the plane on, but then they end up idling at the gate, paralyzed with fear that the next switch they flip will be the wrong one. Luckily, they have a simple emergency plan if they really have to fly that plane: call their youngest child and ask them how to get it in the air.
