Development Consulting Information

Development Consulting is a group of dedicated development practitioners facilitating the implementation of rights-based, effective and accountable aid programs to support positive social change. Strengthening the capacity of communities to take ownership of their own development in unstable environments is an important aspect of our work. Martine Van de Velde, the principal consultant of the group, has extensive field and consultancy experience in the planning and evaluation of aid programs. She has worked both at the grassroots and management level of UN agencies, NGOs and government. Martine Van de Velde’s professional expertise centres on the planning and evaluation of aid programs assisting communities affected by conflict and violence. She has 20 years of operational experience in overseas aid with a primary focus on the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific region.
