Girls Who Code is dedicated to closing the gender gap in technology, with the goal of reaching 5 million girls, women, and nonbinary individuals by 2030. Our mission is to inspire, educate, and champion girls, women, and nonbinary people, with a special focus on historically underrepresented groups, to become changemakers in tech. We are committed to increasing access to the technology field for all, equipping the next generation to thrive in emerging fields like artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and other transformative technologies shaping the 21st century.
Since launching in 2012, Girls Who Code has reached over 760,000 students through our in-person and virtual programming. Of these, 330,000 alumni are now college or career-aged, ready to lead in tech.
Girls Who Code has sparked culture change through marketing campaigns and advocacy efforts, generating 14.9 billion impressions globally, with notable campaigns such as Doja Code, the world’s first codeable music video with Doja Cat. Girls Who Code has been named The NonProfit Times' Best Nonprofits to Work For three years in a row and recognized as one of Fast Company’s Brands that Matter.
AI4ALL is an award-winning nonprofit committed to ensuring AI benefits humanity. Founded in 2017 by leading AI scientists, business leaders and educators, AI4ALL was seed funded by Melinda French Gates (Pivotal Ventures) and Jensen Huang (NVIDIA). Rooted in responsible AI and inclusion, AI4ALL provides opportunities for young people to learn AI skills and build future-proof skills that enable them to thrive in an AI-driven future.
AI4ALL’s key initiatives include:
AI4ALL Ignite: An AI accelerator preparing college students students for careers in AI. Students come from 34 states and 180 colleges nationwide to learn technical core skills and connect with AI internships
Future of AI Education Council: A partnership with AI faculty (Princeton, MIT, Duke, Caltech, Morehouse, Columbia, UPenn and more) to shape guidelines for more inclusive AI education that benefits all students.
Future of AI Salons: Intimate gatherings of senior leaders to define AI’s future responsibly.
AI4ALL has received funding from Google.org, Salesforce, General Motors, Reboot Representation, and SoftBank among others and has been featured in the New York Times, TIME, CNN, The Washington Post, USA Today, and The Atlantic.
Code2040 is a community of Black and Latinx technologists and their allies who are diversifying tech to create a more equitable, inclusive, and prosperous economy.
Through high-impact direct service programs, robust in-person and online community engagement, and dynamic storytelling and knowledge sharing, Code2040 empowers and mobilizes diversity champions across the industry.
Our goal is to ensure that by 2040 – the beginning of the decade when the US will be majority people of color – Black and Latinx people are fully represented in and leading the innovation economy, and have the economic and social capital needed to thrive and build generational wealth.
