DevCode Group is a Stockholm-based venture studio that builds, scales, and exits technology companies. Founded in 2007 as a five-person Java consulting firm, the group has since launched and successfully divested multiple ventures across payments, identity, digital signatures, and financial automation. The consulting arm remains the backbone of the group, supplying 60+ senior developers across Java, .NET, and frontend technologies to major Nordic enterprises. Long-standing client relationships include H&M and a 17+ year partnership with Nasdaq OMX. Strict hiring standards ensure only senior talent joins, creating a talent pipeline that feeds the group's product ventures. The venture studio model took shape in 2008 with the founding of DevCode BPM AB. Notable exits include Nordkap AB (sold to Collector Bank, 2016), DevCode Payment AB (sold to Bambora, 2017, later acquired by Worldline), Ledyer AB (recognized in Mastercard's "14 Fintechs Investors Are Watching" before divestment in 2024), and Luminary AB (2024). In 2020, DevCode BPM AB was renamed DevCode Group AB, formally aligning the brand with the corporate structure. Today the group operates DevCode Identity AB (KYC orchestration via IdentityIQ), Chambersign Sverige AB (digital signatures via CSign), and DevCode Account Control AB (payment reconciliation via AccountIQ, reacquired in 2024). Its newest venture, PayControl Ltd (2025), is building modular enterprise payment infrastructure supporting modern technologies including stablecoins and digital assets. PayControl draws directly on the team's experience building and scaling PaymentIQ and is designed to define the next era of payment orchestration. With a strengthened management team and board bringing hands-on operational experience from across the full portfolio, DevCode Group continues to identify opportunities where deep technical capability meets underserved market needs, and builds the companies to capture them.
