AFC Communications is not supported by federal funds. Our Mission AFC mobilizes communities to create equity and justice for people living with and vulnerable to HIV or chronic conditions. Our Vision People living with HIV or chronic conditions will thrive, and there will be no new HIV cases.

AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA), one of the largest non-profit AIDS service organizations in the United States, provides bilingual direct services, prevention education, and leadership on HIV/AIDS-related policy and legislation. In 2013, APLA marks its 30th year of operation and is a community-based, volunteer-supported organization with local, national, and global reach. Annually, the agency provides direct services and HIV prevention education to more than 11,000 clients in Los Angeles, a city with the second-largest HIV/AIDS epidemic in the nation. HIV Alliance's mission is "supporting individuals living with HIV/AIDS and preventing new HIV infections." We accomplish this mission through: Comprehensive, compassionate care and referrals for people affected by HIV/AIDS, Free and confidential HIV testing and counseling. Hepatitis C, and STI screenings as well. Culturally-appropriate safer-sex outreach to people at high risk of infection, Free syringe exchange, bio-hazard disposal, and first aid supplies to injection drug users, and education to high-risk populations, health and social service professionals, international delegations, and the general public.
