Le groupe Lactalis est présent en Algérie depuis 1980 avec l’importation du lait poudre famille, l’année 2007 a vu la concrétisation du partenariat Lactalis et le Groupe Soummam avec le rachat à l’Etat Algérien de la laiterie de Beni Tamou Via Celia Algérie et à partir de 2013, Lactalis rachète 100 % des parts de la laiterie Béni Tamou, la nouvelle entité regroupe les activités Frais et Sec.
