The DRFN is a centre for arid land studies that conducts and facilitates appropriate, participatory and applied short- and long term research on the environment. It is an independent, non-governmental organisation dedicated to sustainable use of Namibia's environment. The head office of the DRFN is situated at 'Foundation House' in Windhoek. Distribution of information and publications is focused here, and contact is maintained with our many working partners in government and other NGOs. The DRFN is also a partner with the MET in a research center at Gobabeb in the Namib-Naukluft Park where it has carried out a programme of research, environmental awareness and training since 1963.
