Founded in 1954, Desert Foothills Library is Arizona’s only nonprofit independent library, serving all of Maricopa County. The mission of the Desert Foothills Library is to enrich the Desert Foothills Community by promoting literacy and advancing knowledge through library resources and programs that inspire and support lifelong learning. This includes comprehensive multigenerational services for our children, youth, adults, and families. Our most impacted communities are Anthem, Carefree, Cave Creek, New River, Rio Verde, and Scottsdale. Each year we provide more than 2,000 lifelong learning programs, serving over 6,000 community members with more than 17,000 program check-ins.
