The company was incorporated in 1847 by the Annin family in New York City and has been family owned and operated since it opened. It all started in a sail loft in downtown New York City in the 1820's when Alexander Annin began making U.S. flags for merchant ships. Since then, Annin Flagmakers has grown along with our nation.
