DES Training, Inc. was created in 2006 to provide safe and correct training for the new firearm owner as well as the experienced shooter that exceeded expectations we would demand as students. The NRA and both South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and the State of North Carolina have certified our instructor staff in the safe effective training for firearms used in both recreational shooting and self-defense areas. Our mission of providing a safe and controlled learning environment extends to firearm users both at the student and instructor levels. DES Training, Inc. continues to serve as a community resource for the knowledge, skills and awareness of firearm safety in both North and South Carolina. Courses offered at DES Training, Inc.include NRA Basic Pistol, SC Concealed Weapons Permit Training, NC Concealed Carry Permit Training, NRA Basic Shotgun, NRA Basic Rifle, NRA Personal Protection in the Home, NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home (Basic and Advanced), NRA Home Firearm Safety and The NRA's National Refuse To Be A Victim Program. Advanced courses include Low Light Handgun, Defensive Shotgun, Force on Force Handgun, OC operator courses and more. DES Training, Inc. specializes in firearms education for women of all ages and experience levels. DES Training, Inc. serves as a preferred training provider for York Technical College and Bob Jones University's Criminal Justice program along with Progress Energy's Nuclear Security Division. DES Training, Inc. is proud to offer NRA Instructor Level Certification courses in every discipline and class offered by the NRA. DES Training, Inc. is now ranked as one of the largest firearm training firms for the NRA Education and Training Department, with Senior Training Counselors, Training Counselors along with 10+ Certified Instructors. DES Training, Inc. is referred by both SLED and NCJA as a mentoring training resource for new Concealed Carry Instructors in both states.
