Developing open source software for self driving vehicles. We spent time figuring out how to process data at the speed of 1 GB/s and started to build products for the financial & pharmaceutical space. However, many of the problems in those industries were less interested in speed than our visualization products. Over time, we realized that the self driving vehicle required our infrastructure and we could bring the visualization products to simplify the analysis for the community. This insight led us to catalyzing a community behind our Self Driving Vehicle open-source project: Shere Car.
