Our research concerns psoriasis which affects 1-3% of the Danish population and non-melanoma skin cancer, the most frequent cancer disease for men and women taken together. Of note, our laboratory holds expertise in working with the xenograft transplantation model where human skin is transplanted onto immune-deficient mice. This gives us the excellent opportunity to study initiation, development and treatment of psoriasis. Additionally, we work with the two-stage chemical mouse skin carcinogenesis model where tumors are induced in the skin of the mice allowing investigations in development and treatment of skin cancer.
