Dentalia Limited Information

Dentalia was founded by Fabio Bevilacqua and John Fehr as a dental laboratory in Basingstoke in 2000. Fabio is highly qualified with the Italian Diploma Odontotecnico and also as a Clinical Dental Technician by the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has knowledge, skills and techniques which go far beyond those of the average UK dental technician. John (that's me) is a Chartered Engineer, who has no background in dentistry, but did recognise Fabio's abilities and hard-work. I do the admin. (and sometimes maintenance!). Fabio's wife, Allison, who has a degree in European business law, is Company Secretary. Dentalia rapidly established a reputation amongst discerning dentists in Basingstoke, around Hampshire and further afield for high quality, complex restorations. Our special expertise and working closely with dentists enabled Dentalia to tackle jobs which were beyond the capabilities of most technicians. In addition, with Fabio's CDT registration, Dentalia was able to offer superb dentures direct to the public which we promoted with the line "Now you can have your dentures designed and fitted by the people who actually make them." In January 2012, Dentalia moved to new premises and blossomed into a full dental centre with dentists, an implant surgeon, a CDT and a dental laboratory. The new dental centre in Basingstoke was created in a ground-floor commercial building because we realised that, unlike the traditional practice in a residential property, it offered advantages to both patients and to us. Starting with an open space, we could build it the way we wanted. It has plenty of parking immediately outside, is close to a bus stop on a main route (no. 1) and has excellent wheelchair access. The surgery is spacious and has a superb German treatment centre. A huge window allows anyone in reception, or waiting, to view the laboratory - a bit like seeing into the kitchen in a restaurant. Sterilisation is carried out in a special room with controlled air and work flow and was designed to the latests standards. Have a look at the short video on the About Us page. We achieved CQC registration in May 2012 and the inspector was most impressed by our standards, including our HTM 01-05 sterilisation room. Kat, our main dentist, has special interests in restorative and cosmetic dentistry and we brought on board Neil, our highly qualified and experienced implant surgeon.
