Dementia Project Information

This is Dementia has been founded by three young Ballarat locals who have all bonded from their individual experiences as young carers for family members with dementia. This is dementia has a focus on raising awareness, increasing knowledge and dealing with the now. Dealing with the now means setting up a network of periodic everyday activities likes lunches, exercise classes, movie sessions and art classes for individuals with dementia and their carers. This creates a safe and caring environment for individuals to remain engaged and socially connected with the community. By engaging local businesses and individuals to help facilitate and get involved this also helps to reduce the stigma surrounded associated with dementia.
